David M. Grenat maintains over 35 years of professional experience in consulting, financial advisory services and business operations within a variety of private and governmental organizations.
David founded and serves as Managing Director of Path Partners LLC, a consulting firm that assists for-profit and non-profit organizations in a variety of strategic planning, organizational development and financial advisory settings. His private sector experience includes a variety of project contexts including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and sales of companies, recapitalizations, share repurchases, fairness opinions, expansion financings, management leveraged buyouts, executive compensation, gift and estate tax, income tax and litigation support roles.
David previously led several investment banking and financial advisory firms including Quist Capital Advisors LLP, Quest Group, Inc. and the Mark Twain Corporate Finance Group. He has additionally served in senior operating capacities for several private companies including Chief Financial Officer for both Language Odyssey and WyoTech Acquisition Corporation and Interim Vice President of Postsecondary Operations for Educational Services of America.
Educational service organizations have represented David’s primary advisory focus since 1989. David’s prior association with WyoTech originated with the negotiation, and private placement of credit and equity financing, to complete the purchase of the school from Bankers Trust Company in 1999. His post-transaction responsibilities as Chief Financial Officer for WyoTech Acquisition Corporation included serving in a key advisory role to the Chief Executive Officer, the senior management team, board and shareholders with respect to strategic planning, long-term financial modeling and evaluation of programmatic enhancements and facilities additions during a major expansion phase of school. David further assisted WyoTech’s current ownership group and management team in the negotiation, financing, and closing of an asset purchase transaction from a non-profit organization in June of 2018.
David’s industry experience also includes the following: internet services, industrial equipment manufacturing and distribution, food processing and retailing, medical devices, pharmaceutical preparations, commercial bank holding companies, investment holding companies, satellite photography and mapping services, securities trading systems, real estate development and real estate holding companies, biotechnology, specialty chemical, telecommunications, computer software, sporting goods retailing, construction and construction materials, natural resources, automotive components manufacturing, oil and gas exploration and production and environmental engineering and consulting services.
David holds several professional certifications including Accredited Senior Appraiser – Business Valuation and Intangible Assets, Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Management Accountant, Certified Valuation Analyst, and Professional Risk Manager. He is a member of the Chartered Financial Analysts Institute, Institute of Management Accounting, American Society of Appraisers, Professional Risk Managers International Association and National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. . He has additionally served as board director for several privately held companies and assisted national and local non-profit organizations in various advisory capacities.
